The intense thriller, Prisoners stars Hugh Jackman as a distraught and
desperate father who discovers that his six-year old daughter and friend have vanished without a trace after Thanksgiving dinner.
Despite multiple leads, police let
accused abductor Alex Jones walk following insufficient evidence. Haunted by what might be happening to his
daughter, panic sets in and Jackman turns vigilante and takes matters into his
own hands.

When police release loner Alex Jones, the pressure mounts and Jackman captures the man he believes is responsible for the girls’ abduction. Convinced they are still alive, Jackman knows time is not on his side and holds captive the troubled young man he suspects captured his daughter.
When his Catholic faith is tested and he
struggles beneath waves of rage and fear, grief stricken Jackman crosses moral boundaries
and the torture he inflicts ultimately chips away at his soul.
Along with Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhall
stars in Prisoners as the detective in charge of the case, along with
Maria Bello (who plays Hugh Jackman’s wife), Terrance Howard, Viola Davis, Paul
Dano and Melissa Leo.
