The sequel to the 2010 blockbuster “The Hunger Games,” The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set in a dystopian future where the wealthy ruling party forces children chosen by lottery to compete in a television competition resulting in death.  Teenage warrior and rebel Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) has won the 74^th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark and finally returns home.

Triumphant that their clan will never be hungry again, Katniss and Peeta must turn around and once again leave their family and friends for a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.  During the tour, Katniss realizes that a rebellion is simmering despite President Snow’s (played by Donald Sutherland) quest to hold the 75^th Annual Hunger Games.

Jennifer Lawrence stars in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Elizabeth Banks.  The film was directed by Francis Lawrence and is based on the second book in the series by author Suzanne Collins.
